Pain Management

Are you experiencing pain right now?

Well, you’re not alone. Approximately 20% of Australians have experienced pain that has persisted for more than 3 months.

Acute pain is your brain’s way of warning you that your body is in danger. This is a normal protective response. If body tissue is inflamed or damaged the “danger” sensors become more sensitive. If pain persists then changes in the brain may also occur, or an immune or movement response may become more sensitive as well. Then chronic pain may result.

OT4Change can assist people with persistent pain to regain control over the daily lives.
